There are many essential services which are needed to help with the process of dealing with Cancer. We specialise in the area and know which services are most important for the process. We offer those services so that you don't need to worry about finding them yourself.

Services Overview (by appointment)

Drop in centre
Here at Kerry Cancer Support Group, our door is opened to everyone. We are always happy to see people calling in for a cup of tea/cofee or a chat. Everyone is always welcome.

Person Centered Counselling
In an emphatice, accepting and non-judgemental environment the person can explore his/her concerns. Counselling gives us space to reflect, become empowered and find new perspectives on ourselves, oun our relationships and on the circumstances we find ourselves in.

Listening Services
This is a free confidential service. It is a one to one session between our trained Volunteers and our clients, in private. It is open to all those with Cancer, their friends and family. The volunteers offer an ear to listen and a hand to help

Coffee Mornings
A group is formed and brought together in a non-judgemental & relaxed atmosphere. It is an opportunity for people being affected by Cancer to come together and discuss any issues they have with one another. The group is facilitated by a member of our volunteers.

Transport Service
A coach is run 5 days a week to bring patients from Kerry to their appointments in Cork University Hospital.

Complimentary Therapies

Reflexology
Reflexology is an alternative medicine. The practice includes massaging or applying pressure to the feet, hands or ears. The aim is to improve the general health and well-being of the individual.

Massage
Massage is a well known therapy that has existed for many years and is still used in practice today. It involves the use of different manipulative techniques to move the body's muscles and soft tissue.

Art Therapy
Art Therapy is an expressive therapy that uses a variety of art materials such as paints, chalk and markers, etc. It is founded on the traditional principles of psychotherapeutic theories. We believe at K.C.S.G. that the creative process of art is both healing and life-enhancing.
